Decisions for the Kenai should be
made by the Kenai

Ways to Vote (PDF)

Although structured as an acquisition of SES, in spirit HEA views this transaction as the merger of our two systems, which will serve to strengthen our shared Kenai Peninsula Borough culture and values for years to come.

As the electric utility’s general manager, I have a responsibility to do what’s in the best interest of the utility and the customers we serve. And with nearly 25 years in the industry, I have no doubt that Seward’s energy future will be much more secure by joining a larger utility. Being a part of Homer Electric will help stabilize rates through economies of scale, increase resources and in-house expertise, expand customer-focused programs and services, and greatly upgrade our utility’s technology and cybersecurity. It would be a big win for our community.
