As the electric utility’s general manager, I have a responsibility to do what’s in the best interest of the utility and the customers we serve. And with nearly 25 years in the industry, I have no doubt that Seward’s energy future will be much more secure by joining a larger utility. Being a part of Homer Electric will help stabilize rates through economies of scale, increase resources and in-house expertise, expand customer-focused programs and services, and greatly upgrade our utility’s technology and cybersecurity.
